World-renowned photographer Aaron Chang opens his first gallery in Solana Beach, California. The collection will feature Aaron’s high impact, large format photographic prints of waves, surf shots and many other exotic images collected from a lifetime of traveling. From perfect waves in Tahiti, waterfalls in Bali and the deserts of Southern Africa, the viewer experiences these pieces in a larger than life format. Many of the pieces span 8 feet long.
Ethereal light filtering down through a jungle in Kauai is one of the extraordinary photographs that are brought to life by the large scale prints shown in the gallery. Each piece is framed with a rich, soul stirring wood that perfectly compliments the image. On a recent trip to Bali, Aaron captured the majesty of an exotic waterfall deep in the volcanic mountains. Spanning almost 7 feet high, the piece entices the viewer to walk through the frame into the images magical beauty.
Aaron Chang Gallery plans to partner with charities for fundraising events. “This is an amazing opportunity to give something back to the community.” says photographer and gallery owner Aaron Chang. The gallery will donate a portion of the proceeds to it’s partnering charity groups.
A legendary name in the action sports industry, Aaron Chang is well known for excellence in photographic imagery. This award winning photographer has over 100 magazine covers to his credit. Aaron’s work has appeared in a multitude of publications ranging from sports, travel, and rock and roll to fashion. Currently Aaron is working with renowned designer David Carson on his first book.
An active member of his community, both personally and professionally, Aaron serves on several boards and contributes to many charities. He is a loving husband and father of 2 boys as well as an avid surfer. Currently residing in north San Diego county Aaron can be seen surfing most good days.
